METHOD OF PREPARATION RETETA Croque Monsieur:

I greased the slices with butter and placed them in the tray, on baking paper, with the greased side down. I greased the top with sour cream, then placed slices of ham and sprinkled grated cheese. I greased other slices of bread with butter and placed them over the ones in the tray, thus forming the senvis. I greased them with sour cream and sprinkled grated cheese. I put the tray in the oven and left the senvisis until the cheese melted, and the bottom of the senvis became crispy.
