Cement pots, made with egg formwork!

Simple and quite interesting! Make such a pot to decorate your veranda, terrace or balcony!

-welding gun with hot silicone

-a trowel and pots for preparing the mortar

-a few plastic tubes, with a diameter of about 1 cm

1. Using scissors, cut the edges of the egg shells to even them out.

2. Then glue the edges with warm silicone to get a single long piece of them. After gluing each formwork, tighten them as if you were pressing them towards the center, so that they become more plastic.

3. Glue the edges of the side formwork. This way you will get a cylinder.

4.Place it on the work surface, on which you spread the garbage bag and spray the inside with oil.

5. Wallpaper the inside with plastic sheets (first roll them in a few layers, then insert them into the cylinder and let them open). Then lift the edges of the garbage bag and glue them to its outer face with scotch tape.

6.After fixing the garbage bag well, so that you completely cover the bottom of the cylinder with it, apply a few strips of scotch tape on its walls: this way it will not change its shape during the addition of mortar.

7. Fill the space delimited by the plastic sheets with sand, tapping it well.

8.Combine cement and sand in a ratio of 1: 2. Add cold water and mix well. You need to get a fairly liquid mortar.

9. Spread an even layer of mortar on the surface of the sand in the middle of the sheets. Then gradually pour the mortar on the edges of the cylinder so that it completely fills the space between the formwork and the plastic sheets. At the end, smooth the top layer of mortar very well and stick 4-5 plastic tubes in it: they must penetrate the sand layer.

10.After the mortar dries, remove the plastic tubes from it. This way you will get the drain holes of the pot.

11.Remove the egg formwork from the surface of the pot.

12. Carefully turn it upside down, removing sand and sheets from inside.

13. Break the excessive pieces of mortar from the top edge of the pot. Remove the remaining pieces of formwork from its surface.

14. To obtain the pot feet, pour mortar into 4 plastic cups. Let it coagulate, then remove the shapes from the cups.

15.Mix a tablespoon of cement and 3 tablespoons of water. Then moisten the sticking places of the feet on the bottom of the pot and their underside with water. Glue them with the prepared mortar. Let them dry.

Put the oil in a large saucepan or frying pan and put it on the fire. In it we add the diced vegetables.

We don't have to fry the vegetables, we just fry them a little, quickly, for about 5-6 minutes. All this time we mix.

Then add water, about 250 ml. Reduce the heat to low, put the lid on and let the vegetables soften.

If necessary, we add water from time to time, so that the suppression is done in small amounts of water. It takes about 15-20 minutes.

When the vegetables are cooked, add the tomatoes, a teaspoon of grated salt and a teaspoon of pepper.

Add the rice, then mix. We add about 250 ml of water. Put the lid on and let everything boil for another 10 minutes.

Tips from Gina Bradea

-You can use a generous bunch of green onions instead of dried onions.

-It is ideal to use a long grain rice. I used Basmati rice, which added flavor.

-Other roots can be added: celery, parsnips, parsley.

-If you are on an oil-free diet, reduce the oil or do not use it at all and just boil the vegetables in a little water.

We stop the fire, we put the chopped greens on top. Put the lid on and leave everything like that for another 20 minutes. During this time the rice will swell and absorb all the water, we will get a grain grain grain.

This is how it looks now, it's a rainbow of colors and it smells fantastically good:

When and how to move the orchid to another pot - complete guide

The Phalaenopsis orchid is the most beloved flower in this family.

We see it in almost every house, beautifying the windows and rooms.

If you are one of those who have never had an orchid before, it is good to know a few things about the care of this plant.

Does the orchid have a pot that is too small?

Often, the Phalaenopsis orchid is tall, with buds in full bloom and comes in a small pot.

The first instinct is to want to move it to a larger vessel.

Before moving an orchid or any other plant, it is advisable to find out about the best time to do so.

Even if the orchid seems to be crowded and would fit a larger space, we should not move it if it is "in full bloom".

This is the number one tip: the orchid should not be moved to a larger pot while it is flowering.

Even if it has protruding roots, it is a specific thing for this type of flower.

When should the pot be changed for orchids?

Moving the orchid to another pot is also called "transfer".

This procedure should be performed only when the plant no longer has flowers on the stems.

If you received an orchid in a small pot, or bought it from the store, do not change it immediately.

He waits for all the flowers to wither and fall. At this moment the vegetation period is activated, ie the plant will begin to give new leaves and roots.

If you plant it in full bloom, the flowers will wither faster.

Another sign that the orchid needs a larger pot is that the roots have filled the whole pot and come out through the holes in its bottom.

It is clear that the plant no longer has the necessary stability and the pot needs to be changed.

If you notice that the roots no longer have room to grow, it is time to move it, so as not to increase the risk of their rot.

Another case in which the orchid must be transplanted is when the roots do not look good at all - they are porous, they are not green and healthy, or the plant also has healthy flowers, but also withered buds, which no longer open.

What size should the new pot be?

Even when choosing an orchid pot you need to be informed about the right size.

The diameter of the new pot should be only 1-2 cm. bigger than the old one. Or larger than the previous one. The orchid can be kept in the new pot for 1-2 years.

If the pot is too wide or too tall, flowering may be delayed.

How is the transplant done?

Grab the orchid from the stems or base, not the leaves. Squeeze the bowl (if it is plastic) and pull.

If the roots are very crowded and stuck in the substrate, leave the pot in the water for a few hours. This will make them come off more easily.

Remove old soil by hand and clean the roots thoroughly.

If you notice that the orchid has rotten, porridge or dead roots, cut them with scissors disinfected with alcohol / alcohol. Remove only the diseased parts, not the green ones.

The yellowed roots can be preserved because they are healthy.

Rinse the roots under running water.

Also clean the stems of yellowed or wilted leaves. If the knots on the stems have dormant buds (they are usually covered with a dry leaf), cut the stems by 2-3 cm. above those nodes.

When and how the orchid moves to another pot: ArthurHidden & # 8211 Freepik.com

You need to use a special substrate for orchids. Do not plant the flower in universal soil, as this plant does not grow in the ground.

The orchid substrate contains a lot of bark.

Put a handful of substrate in the pot (a small layer), then insert the roots of the plant, fixing it as far as possible in the center of the pot.

Fill with substrate all around. Hold the plant while adding the substrate. Beat the pot a little to help the substrate settle well. The idea is not to leave very large air gaps.

What to do after transplantation

The orchid, barely moved to another pot, will be placed in a shady place, protected from sunlight.

It should not be watered at all for 4-5 days. If you see that it dries a lot, just spray a little with water.

After this interval, start watering the orchid normally, putting water in the tray or dipping it in water.

Do not water them excessively. Do not let them puddle in the water, as the roots may rot.

Toxicity precautions

Leander is one of the most poisonous garden plants commonly grown.

The leander plant, no matter what part of it it is, is very poisonous even ingested in small quantities. Therefore, you must wash your hands if you come in contact with the sap of this plant. In addition, it must be protected from pets and small children who may even touch or swallow parts of this plant.

Leander can cause heart problems, circulation problems, chills, strokes, coma and even death.

1. Put the cauldron on the fire for the polenta. We add a little more water, like for a soft polenta, we add salt and a cornstarch powder. Until it starts to boil, break the eggs and put them in a bowl. We crush the cheese or cut it into cubes. We can prepare it with any kind of cheese, from salted sheep's cheese, telemea, to fresh cow's cheese. Mix the eggs with the cheese.

2. If the water has started to boil in the cauldron, add the rest of the corn. Let the oleaca boil and mix it. We must prepare the two components at the same time: soft polenta and cheese with eggs. Put oil in a larger pan, heat the pan and put the eggs and cheese. In one minute, the eggs with the cheese are crumbled. Now it's time to pour the soft polenta into the pan, over the eggs and cheese. Stir and stir in the pan for another 1-2 minutes. This is geandra, a simple, delicious and consistent recipe when you don't really feel like cooking and more. I added some pickles and leeks.

PS. Another kind of geandra polenta, with baked kapia peppers and garlic, I prepared on the occasion of frying some fish, tomato with polenta.
