Quick cake with strawberry / cherry jam

The top is a simple roll, baked in a smaller tray, and on top a generous layer of jam.

  • 5 eggs,
  • 5 tablespoons sugar,
  • 5 tablespoons flour,
  • 2 sachets of vanilla sugar,
  • a pinch of salt,
  • strawberry and cherry jam.

RECIPE PREPARATION Quick cake with strawberry / cherry jam:

I separated the egg whites from the yolks. I rubbed the yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar until the sugar melted.

Separately, I whipped the egg whites with the salt powder. The consistency of the egg whites should be similar to whipped cream. I then mixed the egg whites with the yolks and flour.

When the composition was homogenous, I added it to the tray greased with oil and lined with flour. I used a smaller tray, because I wanted the countertop not to be as thin as the roll.

I left it in the oven for 15 minutes at the right heat.

I took the tray out of the oven and put the cherry jam and the strawberry jam on the whole surface of the countertop. I then cut the cake into smaller pieces and served it hot.
