  1. Melt the pineapple jelly in the boiling water and leave to cool.
  2. Place the digestives in a sealable freezer bag and roll with a rolling pin to crush to crumbs.
  3. In a saucepan over a medium heat, melt the butter then add the crumbs and stir to coat. Press the mixture evenly into the base of a 30cm round springform cake tin or into a glass baking dish.
  4. Pour the milk into a bowl then sprinkle the dream topping powder into the milk. Whisk using a hand mixer until thick and creamy.
  5. To the dream topping add the jelly and cream cheese and whisk all together until well combined. Pour over the biscuit base and place in the fridge to set, 4 to 6 hours.
  6. Once set, remove from the fridge and add the black cherries over the top. Pop the side off the springform tin (if using) and place the cheesecake on a serving plate. Serve and enjoy!

Tip

For decoration I whipped up some double cream and piped it on. It didn't only give it a nice look, but tasted great also!

I love pineapple and this looks like a nice and easy cheesecake recipe! I think you could even make this dessert without the lady fingers. I wonder what a vanilla wafer or graham cracker crust would taste like? You could also use a light cream cheese if you are watching calories. Make it in the morning and it will be ready for dinner!

Hoiw many servings does this make?

This icing sugar would be perfect to make a black cherry flavoured buttercream icing too and so I may use the rest to decorate some little cupcakes. There's a recipe on the pack if you're not used to making buttercream. The icing sugar is white but if you wanted it to look more like how it tastes, you could add a little food colour.

If you have a look on the Sugar and Crumbs website there are so many delicious flavours. Pineapple, peach melba and pistachio are just some of the ones I am tempted by at the moment.

Sugar and Crumbs flavoured icing sugar comes in 500g resealable bags and costs from £2.99.

Mandarin and Pineapple Cheesecake is a simple yet delicious cheesecake bursting with juicy mandarins on the top and chunks of pineapple in the filling. It's a really refreshing cheesecake, and even better, it's No Bake!

Oh my goodness! This is one of my all-time favorite no-bake cheesecake recipes. It's ever so simple to make and the ingredients are not complicated, mostly I expect you will have a supply in your store cupboard. Inexpensive, really tasty and so easy to make! The kids can help make this too!

For this recipe, I have obviously used mandarins and pineapples. I've used simple canned fruit, and let me tell you if you haven't tried this combination, you must!

When you bite into this mandarin and pineapple cheesecake, you get a burst of mandarin juiciness and pineapple, combined with the creamy cheesecake texture and then a nice crunch from the base. All in all, this is a keeper recipe, for its simplicity, 10 out of 10 for tastiness and it's budget friendly too!

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium bowl, stir together the graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter. Evenly divide the crumbs between your individual serving dishes and press into the bottoms of the dishes to form a crust layer.

In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and sugar on medium-high speed until smooth and creamy, about 3 minutes. Add in pineapple and vanilla and mix to combine, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Using a rubber spatula, fold in the whipped topping until well combined.

Evenly pipe or spoon the filling into prepared individual serving dishes. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.

If desired, garnish with additional whipped topping and fresh pineapple.

I have not tried this recipe using fresh whipped cream, so I cannot attest to the results.

The amount of sugar you need will depend on the sweetness of your pineapple. I recommend tasting and adjusting the level of sweetness before filling your serving dishes.

Black Cherry and Kirsch Cheesecake Recipe

This layered cheesecake is such a treat - perfect for bringing out at a dinner party to really wow your guests. It's a combination of two favourite desserts - a trifle with a twist and an irresistible cheesecake. The black cherries are nice and sweet and add a really deep, beautiful colour. A jar of black cherries in kirsch is a Christmas must, so make sure you've got a jar at home - you'll find you end up using it for plenty of desserts!

If you're looking for more dessert inspiration, we've got loads of dessert recipes for you to try. This cheesecake dessert is great for a special occasion and it takes a little while to make, but it's well worth the time you put in to make it. You need to make it far enough in advance so it has time to set in the fridge. Whether you're making a baked cheesecake or a no-bake cheesecake, you'll either need to leave time for it to go in the oven or for it to set in the fridge, so it's best to make a cheesecake ahead so it's ready to go as soon as you need to dish it up!

HOW TO MAKE BLACK CHERRY AND KIRSCH CHEESECAKE

So, rumor on the web is that you can make this cherry dessert up to three days before a party. But I want to talk to you – friend to friend. When I prepare this recipe for cherry cheesecake, I usually make it the day before.

This is why I love this cherry cheesecake recipe so much! It will taste absolutely fantastic if you make it 24 hours ahead of time.

No questions asked. I like to check things off my list and dessert is certainly one of them when I am hosting large parties.

How to Make a Red Cherry Glaze
  • 1 Can (16 ounces) sour red cherries packed in water
  • ¼ Cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 Drops red food coloring

Drain cherries and reserve ½ cups of juice set aside 1 cup of the cherries.

Combine in saucepan sugar and cornstarch Stir in cherry juice until smooth.

Bring mixture to a boil stirring over medium heat boil 1 minute or until thickened.

Remove from heat and cool slightly stir in lemon juice, 1 cup of cherries and food coloring. Cool thoroughly before spreading over top of cold cheesecake.

Cherry Pineapple Dump Cake

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

Dump Cake made with canned pineapple and cherry filling and topped with crunchy chopped pecans, this is the easiest no prep dessert recipe you’ll ever make.

We love easy cake recipes (check them all out!) and this dump cake is perfect topped with Homemade Cool Whip, Easy Whipped Cream or my favorite combination of Vanilla Ice Cream.

Dump Cake may not sound as fancy or as enticing as some other exciting named American desserts like Better than Sex Cake or Slutty Brownies, but don’t let the name fool you, this dessert is a huge hit for your family event, pot luck or other party needs.

Dump Cake is made with fruit filling (I use cherry and pineapple, but peach fruit filling is also very popular), yellow cake mix, butter (or margarine) and chopped pecans. If you love making homemade cakes instead of using cake mixes next time you want to make a classic cake check out my Classic Yellow Cake recipe, it’s the most popular cake recipe on the site!

Cherry Dump Cake is the most popular flavor dump cake (Peach Dump Cake is a close second) and the most classic variety, but you can use any flavor you’d like. Be sure your fruit filling has some liquid in it too. Another good option is apple pie filling which has a similar amount of liquid and filling ratio to the cherry filling we use.

Should you mix in the dry cake mix?

No, do not mix the dry cake mix (I use yellow cake mix in my Cherry Pineapple Dump Cake but white cake mix is fine too) with the fruit filling. Add the cake mix to the top of the fruit filling and pour the melted butter over the dry mix and add the chopped pecan to the top of the cake ingredients before baking.

The ingredients in this great dessert require no actual preparation, just layering the ingredients in your baking dish.
