  • 225 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • vanilla essence
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50 g finely chopped walnuts
  • For the roll:
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cinnamon

Mix the soft butter well with the sugar until it becomes cream.

Add lightly beaten eggs and vanilla essence and mix.

Mix the flour with the baking soda, nutmeg and salt and incorporate it into the dough.

At the end add the walnuts and mix until smooth. We will have a soft and sticky dough.

Cover the bowl with cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.

From the cooled dough we form balls that we roll through the mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

Place the balls thus formed in the tray lined with baking paper.

Bake at 190 degrees for 10 minutes.
