Put in the hot oven, for about 25-30 minutes, over a good heat or until the meat is done, juicy, and the breadcrumbs make a crispy crust. 10 minutes before it is ready, sprinkle with grated cheese and put it back in the oven to au gratin.

Serve simple, warm, portioned and garnished with red bell peppers and finely chopped green parsley.
It can be a main course if it is accompanied by a garnish of rice or sauteed vegetables.

The recipe is not necessarily unique, but the method of preparation. We, the girls, also keep a diet, from time to time and it seems that it is not easy to give up everything we like. In fact, starvation and deprivation of certain substances is not at all beneficial for our body (I mean the kind of "star diets" that recommend us to remove from the diet completely carbohydrates or lipids - and they have their role in metabolism, everything is to be consumed in moderation and to pay attention to their quality).

Of course, my look fully proves that I'm not really an expert in diets - the truth is that I know how, maybe, but I'm a big gourmand.

Finally, I propose a method of preparing chicken breast (lean, warm meat recommended by any dietitian) that allows you to get a crispy, tasty crust, without drowning the dish in a hot oil bath. By the same method you can, for example, prepare a blue cord with a much lower calorie content.

To prepare it you need:

  • 4 pieces of chicken breast prepared as a schnitzel, flattened to a thickness of 2 mm, seasoned with salt (less, as of, we are on a diet and salt retains water in the tissues!), With pepper and rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons homemade mayonnaise, made with olive oil (cholesterol free)
  • breadcrumbs (I enriched it with crushed cornflakes and sesame seeds)
  • 80 grams of cheese
  • greens and herbs that you like the most: parsley, dill, mint, coriander - your favorite combination
  • 2 cherry tomatoes.

Cheese and greens are blended:

The aromatic paste obtained is divided into four, with the help of the hands we give each quarter an elongated shape and we place it on a piece of chicken breast, next to two quarters of cherry tomatoes:

Fold the chicken breast so that it covers the filling well and fix it with toothpicks:

Baked chicken breast with peppers

A goodness. It melts in your mouth. It is a very tasty main course. Along with a cabbage salad and a mashed potato.

  • 2 tomatoes
