Chipotle's Cultivate Festival Heads to Chicago, Denver

Chipotle's Cultivate Festival Heads to Chicago, Denver

Food-music festivals are still trending, it seems

Chipotle's Cultivate Festival

Chipotle's Cultivate Festival apparently did so well the first time in 2011, the Mexican chain is launching two more in Chicago and Denver.

The free, all-day food festival includes talks and demonstrations from chefs, and performances from musicians.

So far, the Chicago lineup (at Lincoln Park, Sept.15), includes G. Love and Special Sauce, plus chefs Richard Blais, Amanda Freitag, and Paul Kahan (Blackbird).

Richard Blais is also attending the Denver festival (at City Park, Oct. 6), along with chefs Michael Chiarello and Lachlan Mackinnon Patterson. Musical guests include folk band Okkervil River.

The event, meant to increase awareness about where food comes from and how to cook it, is a product of Chipotle's Cultivate Foundation, which has teamed up with musicians like Karen O in the past.

Check out the promo video of the first Chipotle Cultivate Festival last year below. More chefs and musicians will reportedly join the 2012 lineup as the dates get closer.
